Hong Kong Tramways: Extract from 2006 book including details of Rolling Stock

CM Fung has sent an extract of the book, Hong Kong Trams: Hongkong Tramway: 100 Years by Mike Davis.

The Publisher’s website says the book is no longer available in bookshops but CM says it is available in a number of Hong Kong public libraries.

These sections covered are:

  1. Initial proposals
  2. The Tramway route
  3. Tram services and termini
  4. Rolling stock
  5. The single- deck trams of 1904 and 1905
  6. Full-enclosed rebuilt cars of 1902

4.   Rolling stock is subdivided into:

a) Motors
b) Controllers
c) The Underframe
d) The Body
e) The Capacity of the HK Tram
f) The Double-deck tradition
