Death of Andrew Harper, Wallace Harper & Co, distributor of Ford automobiles in Hong Kong.

Well-Known Figure

We regret to record the death of Mr. Andrew Harper which occurred at his residence in Kowloon yesterday.

Mr. Harper came to the Colony in 1922 as a mining engineer, but returned to the United States after staying here for two years. He obtained the Ford dealership, and came back to the Colony almost immediately and carried on business under the style of Andrew Harper ans Company until 1928 when he retired.

Born in the U.S.A. Mr. Harper was 74 years of age. He had been ill for about four months, and leaves two sons, Mr. K.E. Harper in America and Mr. W. Harper, managing director of the well known firm of Wallace Harper and Company.

Mr. Andrew Harper had a large circle of friends by whom he will be greatly missed. The funeral takes place this afternoon.
