With the establishment of Texas Cotton Mills Ltd. in June 1959 the cotton yarn supply situation of an associate enterprise, the Chun Sing Weaving & Dyeing Works Co. Ltd, was greatly eased.
This weaving and dyeing firm, whose yarn requirements became thereby well assured, has distinguished itself in the making of wide-width cotton sheeting and flannelette.
Texas, in recent years, diversified its interests by making overseas investments in manufacturing concerns, such as the Malacca Textile Manufacturing Co. Sdn Bhd., in Malacca, Malaysia.
