IDJ says the script in the article came from…
The reference came from privately published pre-war written book ‘Topside Ricksha’ by Harold M. Bixby. Believed to be of very limited circulation. As far as I am aware never produced commercially.
The lighthouse comments relate to a pioneering Shanghai-Canton survey flight in the early 1930s that called at several ports along the coast.
Harold Bixby was an airline pioneer with CNAC, the China National Aviation Corporation
